Dangaard is an ogre, plain and simple. However he is far from plain and simple, he used to be part of an army far away on another continent. Not even Dangaard knows where his home is, after many long years in the service of his king, he left home and wandered for many years and lost himself far from his homeland. Dangaard used to be a sergeant in the army from his homeland; he left that place in bloody shards and shambles, after being blamed for a superior officer’s murder. After killing his accuser in noble combat, the man’s retinue tried to assassinate Dangaard, needles to say the failed. Badly. However they managed to hit Dangaard with a poison that made him berserk, why they would want to do that no-one knows. After killing everyone in his platoon, some twenty men, Dangaard wandered off through the forest. After waking some days later covered in blood with no memory of the massacre of his platoon, he went to a nearby town. After scarring half the people to death with his appearance, he managed to get a bath and a meal. Relaxing in the tavern with some food in front of him, a man walked in he was dressed in cavalry colors. Dangaard almost called him over, but he heard the man say “there was a massacre in the next town, an entire platoon was destroyed!”
The innkeeper said:”what killed them?”
The cavalry man: “one of our own men! The townspeople said it was an ogre dressed in infantry colors! “
It was at this point Dangaard could hear nothing of their conversation, but after the innkeeper finished speaking he pointed over at the corner where Dangaard was sitting.
The cavalry man drew his sword and marched over to Dangaard. Well shortly afterwards Dangaard once again covered in blood, (but with a horse this time) galloped of down the forest trails, never to be seen in that land again.
After jumping ship to another continent, Dangaard wandered for a few months in the wilderness until he found a nice little town called Clanthia, after staying here for a few months, he was approached by a pale elf with a scare on her left cheek. After this meeting Dangaard became a member of the Xions. After but a few short days Dangaard became head fighter. So now his goal is to train the Xions into a competent fighting unit.
To this day he can be found at the forefront of all conflicts the Xions are a part of.
