Stay Warm and Hydrate via Keith Head

Hey folks, the event is just a few days out, and there are a few things that I wanted to cover.

1.) Hydrate. Start drinking water now, you should be drinking about 8 oz every hour and a half to 2 hours. Just because it’s cold doesn’t mean you won’t get dehydrated.

2.) Pack warm. It’s better to have extra layers and not need them than to need extra layers and not have them. I love dressing up all pretty and whatnot too, but if it comes down to looking good or being warm do yourself and keep warm because I promise no one looks good when they’re experiencing hypothermia.

3.) Speaking of cold weather, WATCH YOUR SWINGS. This goes for packets too, the cold makes our weapons and packets a lot more firm and our skin a lot more receptive to getting stung when struck. If someone tells you to watch your swings that’ll be your one warning before a member of my team pulls you from the combat to calm down.

3.) Speaking of watching your swings, be safe all around. There may be frost on the poaches of buildings, grass may be slippery as the frost melts, and no one likes dealing with real-world injuries. I promise you whatever you’re running from isn’t going to be so bad as to warrant risking real-life injury to escape.

See you guys on Friday!
